How Thunder works

New to Stablechain or bonding-curve launches? Start here.

What is Stablechain?

Stablechain is a Layer-1 blockchain (chain ID 988) whose native gas coin is a dollar-stable unit, USDT0. It's EVM-compatible with sub-second finality. Because you pay gas in a stablecoin, transaction costs are predictable — no volatile gas token to worry about.

What is USDT0?

USDT0 is Stablechain's native coin — the way ETH is native to Ethereum, USDT0 is native to Stablechain. Roughly 1 USDT0 ≈ 1 US dollar. You use it both to pay gas and to buy tokens on Thunder. Every price and amount on Thunder is denominated in USDT0.

How to buy a token

  1. Connect a wallet and add the Stablechain network (chain 988).
  2. Fund it with USDT0 (via a bridge or exchange).
  3. Pick a token from the Feed.
  4. Enter an amount, review the quote (and slippage), and hit Buy.
  5. Confirm in your wallet — you receive the tokens instantly.

Selling works the same way, in reverse.

The bonding curve & graduation

Every token launches on a bonding curve: the price rises automatically as more is bought (and falls as people sell). There's no pre-sale and no team allocation on the curve. When a token raises 69,000 USDT0, it graduates — its liquidity migrates to the DYORSwap DEX and the LP tokens are burned (locked forever). From then on it trades on the DEX.

Fees

  • Launch: 2 USDT0 to create a token.
  • Trading: 1% per buy or sell — 0.6% to the platform, 0.4% to the token's creator.
  • Graduation: free — liquidity is seeded and locked automatically.

What to watch out for

  • Memecoins are extremely volatile and speculative. You can lose your entire stake.
  • Only spend what you can afford to lose. Nothing here is financial advice.
  • Anyone can launch a token — a familiar name or logo means nothing. Do your own research.
  • Check the bonding progress, holders, and socials. Be cautious of tokens where the creator holds a large share.
  • Thunder can't guarantee any token's value or that a project is legitimate.
  • Always confirm you're on the real site before connecting a wallet or signing.
